Today’s task was to choose two of today’s photos (self-portraits) and note how the pose (stance, gaze and facial expression) use of color, objects, and setting/background help to reveal a mood and tone and expose a truth about the subject.

Valentine’s day is a big  deal at quite a few of our feeder elementary schools. Students have been asking me if we could celebrate Valentine’s day here. I decided to put an IB spin on Valentine’s day. It is our day of CARING festival. We will have 2 in class awards assemblies during Humanities classes. Students will choose names today any each student will present their chosen student with an award tomorrow.

Each student will create an award card with title, name, date and minimum 2 sentence explanation. The awards will be given out on Tuesday.
